St. Patrick's Cathedral was founded in 1191 and it is the largest church in Ireland. It is actually not the only cathedral in Dublin with Christ Church Cathedral also still standing give the city a unique situation of having 2 cathedrals.
The Cathedral welcomes over 300,000 visitors each years and it is also holds many national events which include a Remembrance Day ceremony and also a yearly carol procession in December.
